New Kicks!

On Thursday of this week, I will turn 31 (eek!). To celebrate, my parents came into town this weekend. We had a great time touring Nashville, and they even got to see our in-progress soon-to-be new home. Since they had to leave before my big day, I got to open my presents a little early, and my big present this year was....new running shoes! My previous shoes were Newton's, and I love them. I love them so much, I've worn them out, so these arrived just in time.

I'm excited to give these a try, and especially to sport them for race #40! Stay tuned to see if they help me run faster...

2 Weeks To Go!

We are a little less than 2 weeks away from race day, and we are so excited by all of the support we have received so far.

We gained another Team G Shock runner this week when our friend, Rosemary Radford, decided to join us! We've run with Rosemary before...most recently in our 37th race, which was certainly a memorable one, and we are so excited to have her join us for this race! That brings us up to 5 runners (1 baby along for the ride) so far! We also ordered new shirts for everyone this week, and we can't wait to see how they turn out.

Our fundraising is still going great (thanks to you all)! We are up to 31 donations, which brings us to $1630 for race #40. And that also brings our overall fundraising to $7,495! We are so excited to be inching closer and closer to our total goal of $10,000 and are so thankful to everyone for helping us get this far!

3 Weeks To Go!

This weekend marked 3 weeks until race day! We are officially up to 30 donations, and we gained another team member this week bringing us up to 3 new runners! :) Well, technically 4 since our newest addition, Christie Crotts, will be running with her sweet baby girl Teagan! 

With all of the donations we've received, we're up to $1530 since we announced our 40th race. And in total, we've raised $7,395 for Athletes For A Cure and the Prostate Cancer Foundation! 

We're so excited by all of the support, and can't wait to see where we end up by race day!

Happy Valentine's Day from Team G Shock! We hope that all of our friends & supporters have a wonderful day filled with love and laughter. We are so thankful for all of the support that we have received over the years, along with the encouragement. One day, with all of your help, we will find a cure for Prostate Cancer, so that families can forever enjoy their loved ones on Valentine's Day and all year 'round!

4 Weeks To Go!

We are officially 4 weeks away from race #40 and are really looking forward to running the Tom King Classic 5k. In the 2 weeks since we started the push towards this race, we have received a whopping 23 donations for a total of $1190 in the last 2 weeks! That brings Team G Shock's team total of donations to $7,055!!!

5 Weeks To Go!

We are 5 weeks away from our 40th race, and are excited about our progress so far! In just one week, we have gained 2 new team members to run with us. Travis Frady and Ashley Kay Hall will be right there with us on the course, and we can't wait to run with them.

In addition to their support, the donations we've received have been overwhelming. So far for race #40, we're up to 13 donations for a total of $770! That brings Team G Shock's total donation amount to $6635...inching closer and closer to our goal of $10,000!
