Movember - WRAP UP!

Well, I can't believe it's over. We have officially come to the end of Movember! Nate did such a great job putting up with the 'stache and he couldn't have done it without all of you. He also did a great job putting up with me sticking a camera in his face every morning, which made updating the blog MUCH easier.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who donated to the cause! We received 23 donations and raised $1000!! Once again we are amazed by the support we have received for Team G Shock. It makes everything we have done way more worth it than it already is.

The 'stache is gone as of this morning. Nate shaved himself a pencil mustache first, and then went all the way.

Movember - Day 30

This is it!! The LAST day of Movember! Nate has come a long way with his 'stache and I think he is getting pretty excited to say goodbye to the little fella. He has actually said that whoever donates can give suggestions on how he can shave it off and he will do it, no matter how ridiculous! Anything for the cause, right?

And speaking of donations, we received 3 more yesterday!! Thanks to Katie ConCon, Malia and Lisa for your support!

Movember - Day 29

Its Day 29 - only 2 days left for Nate to have the 'stache!! :) Now is the time to donate before he finally gets to shave on Thursday!

Movember - Day 28

It's a rainy day in Nashville, and the 3rd to last day of Movember for Nate! He's done a great job with the 'stache and has helped us raise some more money for Team G Shock in the process! So far this month we have raised almost $600, and still have a few more days to add to that total! Each donation helps bring the Prostate Cancer Foundation one step closer to a cure, so thank you all for everything that you have done to help!

Movember - Day 27

Its day 27 and we are headed back to Tennessee. We had a wonderful weekend in Minnesota with family and friends and even got a couple of donations! I think Nate's family got a kick out of the 'stache and I KNOW Nate is excited to shave it at the end of this week! We only have a few days left so if you're feeling generous, please consider donating to the cause!

Movember - Day 26

Its Day 26. We have had a wonderful holiday in Minnesota. We did Christmas last night with Nate's family since we won't be here and got some wonderful gifts. One of our favorite gifts was from Nate's sister (see the photo below), and this gift (along with a donation from his Grandma) brings us up to 15 donations for Movember!

Only a few days left in the month and then Nate finally gets to shave the 'stache!

Movember - Day 25

Its Day 25, the day after Thanksgiving, and the 'stache is tired! We had a great day with Nate's family and friends yesterday and have already consumed our first plate of Turkey Day leftovers (yum!).

Movember - Day 24

Happy Thanksgiving and Day 24 of Movember! :) We are spending the day with Nate's family in Minnesota, while my family celebrates in Virginia and West Virginia. My job this year was to make the pies and I am happy to say that they are officially done!

Geoff and Dad ran a turkey trot together this morning and Drew ran one too (his second race ever!). We will post pictures and results from that soon!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and takes some time to be with family. We are thankful for so much this year-including the support we receive for Team G Shock!

Movember - Day 23

It's day 23, which also happens to be the day before Thanksgiving! I can't believe its almost the end of Movember, where has the time gone? So far this month, we have received 13 donations totaling almost $600! I think we can do a little better though, so keep those donations coming our way!

We're heading to see Nate's family & friends this weekend in Minnesota, which should be a very fun time. We have a challenge for all Towne extended family members and other Minnesota friends...for every comment you make that makes fun of Nate and his 'stache, you have to donate $5. :) I really am so proud of Nate for going through with this for Team G Shock and you should be too! But, if you want to tease him, that's ok, just be prepared to donate to the cause!

We also want to point out that it is our dear friend (and Framily member) Megan's birthday today!! :) We're hoping to get to see her in Minnesota of all places to celebrate once we get up there! Happy Birthday friend - have a wonderful day!

Movember - Day 22

22 days in to Movember and we're so close to our Team G Shock goal! Nate is looking good and we're excited to share the 'stache with his family over Thanksgiving.

In other, much more exciting than a mustache news, our dear friends Scott & Rachel (who we were visiting until Sunday) welcomed their sweet new baby boy into the world yesterday! :) We just missed him, but are so happy he is here and that mom & baby are safe and healthy!!

Movember - Day 21

Only 9 days left in Movember - its hard to believe! We had a loooong end to a great weekend with about 8 hours spent in Chicago's Midway airport yesterday - whew. But it was mostly worth it for the time we got to spend with friends who live much too far away.

We're reallllly close to our Team G Shock goal of $6,000. I think we can get even closer in the next week and a half, don't you?

Movember - Day 20

What a weekend! We had a ton of fun at Sara and Justin's wedding AND we got to spend some quality time with the Bradleys!

The 'stache is going strong with only 10 days left! We're pretty close to our goal-who thinks we can reach it?!

Movember - Day 19

We're in Pittsburgh to see our friends Houser and Justin get hitched and to visit with the Bradleys. The 'stache is a big hit so far, cant wait to see it hit the dance floor!

Movember - Day 18

18 days in to this thing, and Nate has quite the 'stache. We're headed to a wedding this weekend and I can't wait for some of our friends to check it out in person!

On a separate, but just as important note, today is my brother Drew's birthday! Happy birthday, brudder! Hope you enjoy your day!

Movember - Day 17

We got to take the 'stache out on the town last night to see "Memphis" at TPAC which was INCREDIBLE. If you have the chance to see it, do. And the good news is there were a good number of men with mustaches in attendance so Nate didn't stick out at all! :)

It's officially Day 17, and thanks to the generosity of lots of friends (most recently Allison and Matt & Kim Walzer) we are up to 13 donations!

Movember - Day 16

Its another rainy day in Nashville, but that can't bring Team G Shock down! Its Day 16, and we received donations yesterday bringing our Movember donations up to 11! A big thank you to friends near & far for their help yesterday - Tami P, The Bradleys, Trina & The Walkers. You all rock!

Those donations also helped us reach a HUGE milestone for Team G Shock. After 29 months, 28 races and a mustache we have raised over $5000!!! That is incredible, especially considering our original goal was $1500. I can't wait to see how far we can take this with all of your help!

Ta-Da! Look at that 'stache :)

Movember - Day 15

Even a rainy day can't bring this 'stache down. Its officially the half-way point. Nate has been getting more and more inquiries, which is awesome. Here's hoping for more and more donations to Team G Shock as well!

Its Day 12. Nate is at home winning the best husband award for taking care of our puppy who ate (yet another) toy, while I sit at the edge of a bluff in the mountains with some of my best girl friends. This is the life.
