As promised, one more post before our next race this weekend! We will be enjoying the long weekend (hopefully), and wrap it up with our 24th race first thing Monday morning! We are going to be running the Memorial Day Dash for the 2nd year in a row, and we're excited to see how we do.
Like all of our Team G Shock races, we'll be running this one in honor of my Dad and everyone else out there fighting the fight. For this particular race, we are going add a very special person to our list of motivators. My dear friend and coworker, Rosemary, is the sweetest person I have ever met. Literally. And her equally sweet father, Johnny, is going through his own cancer fight as we speak. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer that has now spread to his liver. But with everything that has been thrown at him, he just keeps fighting back with the most positive attitude ever (must be where Miss Rosemary gets it from!). So if you've got an extra prayer to spare - which lets be honest, you do - send it up for Johnny! We'll be doing our best on Monday with him in mind, and I'm sure it will pay off!
